Last June when I wrote Why do people abandon online shopping baskets? one of the reasons I listed was that the site requiring registration before purchase puts off many online shoppers.
It warmed the cockles of my heart when I received this notification earlier:
Advanced MP3 Players are pleased to announce yet more enhancements to their affiliate offering. Firstly there is an improved checkout process which simplifies things for the customer.
- New customers no longer required to create an account
- 2 page checkout
- More graphical / icon based
- Simplified selection of delivery methods
I am convinced that this improvement in the Advanced MP3 Players checkout process will dramatically improve conversion rates, I hope they will release some figures in a couple of months time.
Advanced MP3 Players are managed by Existem Affiliate Program Management and can be found on the following networks:- Paid On Results, Affiliate Window, Affiliate Future and TradeDoubler.
If perchance you actually came here looking for the Advanced MP3 Players web site click here to go straight there.

I like that a user can test a voucher code first without having to enter all their details.
Why so convinced? Did they give you a look at their A/B testing?
Going to a 2-page checkout isn’t a good idea if the first page of the checkout is as daunting as theirs…
How many pages is Amazon’s checkout? I bet they’ve done some testing to find out what works best…
