Twitter

I had a chat recently with Graeme Sandwell (Director at Paid on results and the genius behind their technical innovations which are widely copied but seldom equalled) and he pointed out that Internet Marketing Blogs UK was no longer updating it’s twitter account and when I took a look I found it hadn’t been for a number of months, shows how off the ball I have been of late.

Well to cut a long story short Graeme kindly helped me to get the site tweeting again, more about that in a future post, but massive thanks to Graeme.

The Cull

I took the opportunity while sorting out Internet Marketing Blogs to cull the blogs that hadn’t been updated for quiet some time and in all removed around 40 the remaining channel list is here. If you are no longer on the list of bloggers and wish to be re-added once you become active again give me a shout (contact form) same goes for any active UK focused Internet Marketing / Affiliate bloggers who would like to be included.

Please note that in the main merchants and agency’s who predominantly blog product newsletters appear here and not in the main feed.

Silverbean the online marketing agency who are based in Newcastle have just launched a dedicated Affiliate Website.

I have worked with Silverbean for a long time and they are always helpful and willing to go the extra mile to help affiliates promote the merchant programs they look after.

The blurb on their new site says it all really;

We built this site to solely cater for you the affiliate, to make it easier for you to contact and communicate with us, obtain valuable industry information and insights, access resources and receive information about our merchants.

Silverbean look after almost 30 merchant clients including Racing UK, Brora, Fashion Union and Wiltshire Farmfoods.

Many of my compatriots have posted on their blogs reflecting on the last decade or year and very good reading it is too here are some of them:

For me this is not a time for reflection, the Noughties were ok to me well actually a bit of a rollercoaster ride, however, as one top astrologer put it on New Years Day, they have tweeted their last tweet and updated facebook for the last time, and you cant phone, text, email or skype them, they are gone forever.

Now looking forward to the Teenies (is that the accepted term?) what will they bring, undoubtedly for all of us, a whole world of new changes and challenges on so many levels both personally and professionally.

On a professional level I am going to start by building on the foundations our dear friend the Noughties left behind, 2009 was all about consolidation, I ended the year spending 90% of my time on the few sites bringing in the majority of my revenue rather than wasting time on dead ducks.

The main focus this year will be on building up the brand of Fashion Style You which is now over 2.5 years old and steadily growing month on month (google willing).

Aside from that I am going to remain flexible while continuing other projects and collaborations which have proved fruitful in the past I will also be looking for new opportunities, possibly selling a few sites but above all moving forward.

Here is the latest update from the @AffiliateBlogs twitter account which automatically retweets from Internet Marketing Blogs .

The twitter account currently has 1005  followers which I am happy with as we reached a peak of almost 1200 then twitter culled a load of spam accounts which dropped the total back below the thousand.

This is what has been popular throughout July.
