Facebook, Myspace and Bebo the three most popular social networking sites in the UK all recorded a drop in UK users during January.
Facebook the leading UK social networking site saw drop of almost 5% to around 8.5 million users in January compared to 8.9 million in December, this is on the back of seventeen consecutive monthly increases.
So has the bubble burst? Will the slide continue?
Facebook was once touted as being worth $15 billion, what price now?
Facebook will certainly be praying its just a blip after the massive investments they have made on servers. Maybe advertisers will suddenly take to investing in Facebook flyers, I’m not convinced.
Maybe the Web 2.0 app Sociagami could be the social networking savior as it allows users to Mash Facebook and MySpace into one application, time will tell.

Cross platform applications will help. I guess they would plateux off at some stage.
I have not logged into my bebo account since I set it up ( just did today to see if i still could )
My Myspace account has not been looked at for months.
I still use facebook, and it is my preferered social network, made more useful as lots of other affiliates also use it.
I also read articles today about news corp who own myspace are looking to offer downloads. The article said it like it was a big deal, personally this would not get me using myspace again, I know i can get downloads from Itunes etc.
I would be interested what other readers of this article use social networks wise. Do you use them all or just one or not at all
